The way you talk it sounds like you keep all your money in your brokers account. Forex is not a k retirement fund. There are better places trade all safe money your not using for trading, and putting towards forex like Vanguard funds. Using a broker like Fidelity. Obviously you want to have your retirement broker separate from your day trading broker. The structure of the deal made to bail out FXCM is a death sentence. They're going under one way or another so forex might as well take your money elsewhere. They're also likely to pull out of the US in the next trade months. The regulatory requirements are just too costly trade.
